Michael Hewett
Michael has been teaching yoga and dharma in New York City since 1997. His classes weave together philosophies, asana, music and meditation to experientially guide students along their paths through humor, scholarship, and artistry. In 2009, Michael founded Sarva Yoga Academy, now Vessel Yoga Academy. Vessel offers a multi-faceted, whole life training based in lineage practices and teachings dynamically organized into logical sequences.
Michael is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, a video instructor and blogger for Guitar World magazine, tours internationally, and composes for dance, television and film. His musical catalog can be heard on airwaves and in yoga classes all over the world.
